This Culinary Institute of Virginia educational program prepares students for success in the competitive field of food service. In 1.5 years, a student can earn an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Culinary Arts.

Our Culinary Arts Program includes:

  • Standards-Based, Hands-on Training
  • Emphasis on Mastering Basic Professional Culinary Skills
  • Student Externships throughout the Program to Build Your Experience and Resume

Demand for qualified chefs can be global – there are no geographic boundaries. Get in on the action!

Our Culinary Institute of Virginia educational program can provide you the culinary training necessary to join an industry that’s projected to see some of the largest numbers of new jobs arise, according to the U.S. Department of Labor (2006-2016 - Occupational Outlook Handbook 2008-09 Edition).

High School Scholarship Opportunities

A scholarship opportunity is available for high school seniors who have:

  • Participated for at least one academic year in a culinary related organization - ProStart, CCAP, SkillsUSA or FCCLA or,
  • taken at least one academic year in culinary classes in high school and can support that with a copy of your transcript
