Associates of Applied Science Degree in Culinary Arts

The culinary externship is a unique opportunity for students to gain real-world experience in a mentored environment. Students can gain culinary experience by working in a restaurant, hotel, club, or other food service operation. Students have the opportunity to complete up to two externships. The educational objectives of an externship are as follows:

• Enhance student's cooking skills and techniques
• Broaden the student's view of the food service industry
• Expose the student to the skills and knowledge of industry professionals
