Norfolk, VA – Culinary Institute of Virginia, the School of Culinary Arts at ECPI College of Technology, is celebrating a successful first year of operation. The school, located in Norfolk, Virginia, opened in June of 2006; students began classes in September. It is anticipated that by September 2007, there will be over 200 students enrolled at the Institute. The square footage of the facility has been expanded to accommodate the growth in student population and faculty and staff are looking forward to an exciting second year.

Mark Dreyfus, President of ECPI College of Technology, states, “In our first year of operation we appreciated having received tremendous support from local restaurants and hotels. We are providing students a high quality education by offering a hands-on learning environment and excellent externship programs that afford a “real world” learning experience. We are quite excited about the response thus far and look forward to continued growth. Culinary Institute of Virginia is committed to providing our students the best possible value for their investment of time and dollars and is equally committed to providing restaurants and related culinary businesses with quality chefs that are second to none.”
