Norfolk, VA – Culinary Institute of Virginia, the School of Culinary Arts at ECPI College of Technology, announces the appointment of Ms. Dorothea Bovani as Director of the Norfolk-based school. Prior to joining Culinary Institute of Virginia, Ms. Bovani was Campus Director of a Lancaster, PA culinary school where she set up the culinary arts program from its inception. In the first 6 years of operation, she helped grow the student base and relocate the program to a larger facility where she oversaw renovation and creation of 5 professional kitchens. Prior to that position, Ms. Bovani was Director of Education for a New York City based culinary school.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Bovani opened a catering business after having enrolled in culinary school. She is the third generation in her family to pursue a career in the culinary industry.
